Troy Nicholson started working in the Harley Davidson profession in 1979 at a local Fort Worth dealership. He worked his way up to one of the top technicians in the area, with a large customer following. After several years of hard work, he was proud to open his own shop, Lightning Cycle Works, in 1990. Over the last 16 years, in 3 different locations, he has continued to turn out quality bike builds and impressive service, along with OEM and aftermarket parts at fair prices.

Over the many years, Lightning has won numerous awards at many local bike events and shows. His association with local businesses has fostered many “Bike Nights” and swap meets benefiting the community. At the age of 50, Lightning can reflect on many outstanding achievements and can look forward eagerly to continued growth within the motorcycle industry. Most recently, the successful Military Bike Build and Giveaway has taken Lightning Cycle Works to a new level of notoriety and has  showcased Lightning's ability to a new group of admirers.
